Haw-Eater Coins of Manitoulin, 2nd Edition

A Publication – Just Released!

John Romanovich is pleased to share a little information with you about a new publication that is now available to the public. John kindly asked that we share this information with those who have an interest in collecting these special tokens or are curious about their history and would like to learn more.

This latest literary work provides a comprehensive historical narrative about the Haweater tokens, which were once circulated by the Little Current Lions Club on Manitoulin Island. The Haweater coin series holds the remarkable distinction of being the longest continually produced tokens in Ontario, Canada, dating back to the creation of its inaugural medallion in 1968. The proceeds from the sale of every book ($25) is being donated to the Little Current Lions Club. Collectors of the tokens and admirers of Manitoulin Island will discover an extraordinary work of art, showcasing a collection of one-hundred and eight (108) distinct coin types, [130] including varieties, that together display the Haweater Token Exhibit. Additionally, the book delves into local history, culture and folklore, revealing numerous interesting surprises waiting to be uncovered.
